ICE2011 -- Brrrrrr

Three inches of sleet and freezing rain was bad enough. Woke up to 16 Degrees and a 30+mph wind from the NW, gusting to 45.

16.8 Degrees -- Not a good start for the day. . .

. . . First it rained overnight, then it froze, sleeted, and snowed. Front yard was a solid sheet of ice. . .

. . .The road was covered in about 1/4 inch of ice. . .

. . . The car is stuck to the driveway, but they still managed to deliver the newspaper today. Wonder if the Post Office will make it by. . .

. . . Looking out the fogged up front storm door down iced up walkway. . .

. . . The switchover from freezing rain to sleet & snow happened too quick to ice up the bushes. . .

. . . Mr. Peabody still looks cold. . .

. . . The wind was coming out of the NW @ 30, gusting to 45, blowing the snow down the street. The snow fells like cold grains of sand when it hits the skin. Dont think i've ever seen this around here. . .

. . .The Denton water tower blending into the winter wonderland. . .

. . .Looking east down the neighborhood. . .

. . .Looking Southwest towards US-77 over the back yard fence. . .

. . .Closer look at the snow blowing down US-77, obscuring the trees. . .

. . . The woods behind the house shaking in the wind. . .

. . .The blowing snow obscuring the houses on the other side of the woods. . .

. . . The dogs loving the snow.
